Countess of Erne, The

ImageThe Countess or Erne was Iron hulled Paddle Steamer built in Dublin in 1868.

After many years service, she was finally sold for scrap in 1890, but somehow survived another 45 years as a Coal Hulk in various ports. Finally, in 1935, when her moorings broke, she hit the harbour wall and sank in Portland Harbour.
