CSAC welcomes qualified, experienced UK divers as guest divers. You should already have experience of diving in the UK and ideally be a member of BSAC.

 

Equipment: Guest divers will need to have your own full set of diving kit, as a club we do not have any equipment for hire. Divers must also carry their own DSMB and torch.

 

Costs: on application to CSAC. We allow guest divers to dive with us for one day, and a maximum of two dives. After that, if you want to dive with us on a regular basis, we would request that you become a member of the branch.

 

Qualifications: we do ask that you meet one of the following minimum qualifications : -

• BSAC Sports Diver or above.
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or above.
• For other agencies, check with our Diving Officer first.

 

Further, before allowing a visitor/potential member to take part in diving activities they must meet the Diving Officer and complete the CSAC Guest Diver paperwork. The Diving Officer must see :-

• Evidence of the diver’s qualification
• Their logbook, to assess competence and recent experience
• Evidence of current fitness to dive (medical self-declaration)
• Contact and Next of Kin details

 

Insurance: Guest divers will be covered by the BSAC insurance policy upon completion of the Guest Diver paperwork prior to the dive day.
