This Belgian vessel has the destinction of being the first casualty of WW2 when she struck a mine on 15th September 1939 - just two weeks after the war started. She was enroute from Antwerp when British Authorities requested she divert to Weymouth for inspection.

Her bow is still recognisable and stands 7m above the seabed. Salvage work has reduced the stern to a tangled web of wreckage.
